Crumbled Under Pressure

June 2, 2009

Our athletes are prone to crumble under pressure at the international stage… we are fully aware of that.

But this…?

Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium

Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium

I never knew that our own stadium, too, can go that way.

What a disgrace…… And that’s RM300million spent to fatten up the so-called contractors and build a stadium which had expired in one-year time. Imagine how many scholarships can be given out with RM300million every year; imagine how many hungry mouths can be fed with RM300million in one year.

One thing we, Malaysians, have to admit…we are pure losers when it comes to resources management.

Investigations have to be carried out immediately. Someone has to answer for the used-to-be RM300million worth of remnants. A scapegoat must be presented to the people, just like the old fashion way.

I don’t know why. But recently, our country has been plagued by all sorts of misfortunes. The “Karma” effects, perhaps? Approving faulty stadium design, assigning half-past-six contractors to do the job… the consequence is unquestionable. And yet, we still do not learn from our past mistakes. To date (Year 2009), I sniff no hint of us getting anywhere near our proposed Vision 2020.

Of Giving False Hope to 4574 Young Souls

The recent intake blunder caused by the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) was totally uncalled for.

It was a grave error an institution of such high level should never commit. =S

Speaking of quality. Disappointing really especially when they toy around with thousands of students’ future.
