The first half of our lives is ruined by our parents, and the second half by our children…

-Agatha Christie-

Me : Considering my parents have not treated or pampered me badly, I disagree with the first part, but nod in agreement with the second part. God knows how many parents’ lives out there who have been ruined by their own flesh-and-blood, financially and psychologically.

And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years…

-Abraham Lincoln-

Me : It’s not how many years I will be studying & practising medicine, but how will I study & practise medicine until the day should I fail in exam(touch wood), my license revoked (touch wood), die (touch wood) or retiree (pat shoulder). I certainly hope retirement will be the end point of my journey in medicine. So, yes… I do agree. I don’t know why. But since the start of Pathology lectures, we are having these kinds of meaningful quotes in the notes. Guess the Pathologists, themselves, are rather melancholic too. Yes… They need to be melancholic to see wrong in the right even if there is none.

Okay… Consider this post as the first dose of fungicide to clear the Trichophyton, Aspergillus or whatever fungi which have been colonising zmlee. Oh heck, Air Topic due date is just around the corner and Summative One’s closing up at full speed. Curse the flu virus. Come one, adaptive immune system… double your working time and recruit more elite soldiers to fight the infection. I will pay you the bonus for extra hours after I pass my EOS 2. Deal? :P
